PDG Construction of Miami drywall is here to help. Here in Miami drywall, originally known as gypsum board, is very popular nowadays amongst the common building materials used, though it has struggled to attain this popularity. Invented in 1916, drywall was initially considered to be an inferior good and did not gain popularity until the mid-1950s when the American government built new suburban homes that had low costs to attain this low cost they used drywalls instead of the regular plaster used then. Hence because of its low cost drywall eventually became acceptable to more and more masses. Not every drywall installer will know, let alone, tell you its history as we have told you, nor will they tell you what drywall actually consists of; i.e. a mixture of gypsum plaster which is placed between two pieces of heavy paper while the mixture is still wet. It is then allowed to cool down after which it is cut into boards of medium length.

Drywall Installations,
One Wall At A Time!

Drywall, originally known as gypsum board, is very popular nowadays amongst the common building materials used, though it has struggled to attain this popularity. Invented in 1916, drywall was initially considered to be an inferior good and did not gain popularity until the mid-1950s when the American government built new suburban homes that had low costs. To attain this low cost they used drywalls instead of the regular plaster used then. Hence, because of its low cost drywall eventually became acceptable to more and more masses. Not every drywall installer will know, let alone, tell you its history as we have told you, nor will they tell you what drywall consists of; i.e. a mixture of gypsum plaster is placed between two pieces of heavy paper while the mixture is still wet. It is then allowed to cool down after which it is cut into boards of medium length. Drywall installation is a time-saving activity and in most cases, a drywall installer will tell you, that it cuts weeks off of the time it would take to complete a project using methods that were popular before it. Drywall installation is perfect for moist environments as moisture repellents are added to the plaster which works well in such areas. For either very hot or very cold temperatures, the upper layer of some drywalls is made of fiberglass instead of paper and this increases its insulating properties. Whether you want to renovate your house or just add an extension for your home office or sitting room, drywall is an excellent choice. This is so because it is a cheaper option compared to plaster and wooden panels and most drywall installers will correctly tell you that people tend to like it more than the other options readily available in the market. Any rational customer should go for drywall as it holds paint better than the alternatives and is even cheaper than its competitors. It will be just as graceful and beautiful as the more expensive options available but at a much lower cost. But bear in mind that some drywall installers might try to sell you cheap and substandard drywall imported from China, especially in the Florida area. This Chinese drywall has reportedly been found to emit sulfur-based gases that are eating away at your walls and causing health concerns among affected residents. The first report of such a case came up here in Florida, but as many as 40 states have been infiltrated with this low-quality and hazardous drywall, according to ABC News. So you should look up a professional drywall installer for your home and if you are in South Florida (Miami or Fort Lauderdale Florida) then don’t wait another minute!
